Born 10.12.11 via c-section after 20 hours of labor! 8 pounds, 12 ounces. 21.75 inches. Named in loving memory of Brad's grandmother, Alyce, and my grandmother, Lorraine. She is our favorite.

3D pics + Godzilla baby?

I just got back from my 28 week appointment and luckily I passed the glucose test. I was a little worried that I'd fail! I have gained about 25 pounds in 28 weeks so pretty much right about a pound a week.

This little girl on the other hand is already weighing in at 3 pounds at 27 weeks, 5 days. I know that weight can be off by quite a bit though. Her measurements were 29 weeks, 4 days so she is almost 2 weeks ahead in size! Probably just a growth spurt although she has been consistently about a week ahead. I'll go back at 32 weeks for another ultrasound. I am glad to have another ultrasound out of the deal. And I am not too worried if she is big. I'm just surprised as I wasn't big at all and Brad wasn't really either!

Here are a couple of 3d pics! She had her hand up by her head the whole time. The first pic she was making a face, kind of smiling a bit. I think she looks like Brad but I am not exactly sure why. I think she has Brad's lips for sure, which I was hoping for because I have really small lips!

Nursery ideas

Here is our crib and changing table - the Davinci Porter in white. I originally wanted a crib/changing table that were connected together and in cherry wood. But my idea was vetoed (for good reason) and we went with this. I didn't want to get something standard that everyone else has (AKA that you can buy at Target) but it had good reviews so I said what the hay...

I can't say enough about ordering from CSN baby. I found a code for 10 percent off and shipping was free but our original order said it would take about 4 weeks to process and ship. It actually shipped earlier this week and they upgraded our shipping for free so we'd have it before the weekend. Brad is upstairs putting it together right now! I think he was mad because he thought he had a nice relaxing weekend ahead of him! Haha! Well, it has to get put together sometime.

Our bedding is "Penelope" from Pottery Barn kids and we'll do some other cute accents with a bird theme. I didn't want the room to be too "themey" or too pink. Am I smoking crack??

We'll do this wall decal over the crib. Our walls are a bit of a darker tan and we'll leave them that way. Hopefully it looks good! I guess the decal comes in individual pieces so it will be SUPER fun to put them all up!

I LOVE these prints from Etsy. I'll do this on the opposite wall above the changing table along with one or two white wall shelves and one of those birdhouses from PB. Probably the light pink one since PB's white is not actually white but cream.

12 week gender guess - SO crazy they can guess this early! The guess was GIRL!

Hopeful - 2.22.11

As I write this on 2.22.11, I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. We had our first ultrasound yesterday and saw the baby with a heartbeat of 138. (WOW). I can't believe I actually get to say that.

My motto is "taking it one day at a time," and that's what we are doing. One day at a time...
